Spicy Mango Meatballs

Ingredients (Serves 4):

  • 1/2 cup Beerenberg Mango Jam

  • 400g pork or lamb mince

  • 1 onion, finely chopped

  • 2 tsp Beerenberg Crushed Garlic

  • 2 tsp ginger, grated

  • Fresh or dried chilli, to taste

  • 1 tbs light soy sauce

  • 1 cup breadcrumbs

  • 1 egg, lightly beaten

  • Dipping Sauce

  • 1/4 cup Beerenberg Mango Jam

  • 2 tbs Beerenberg Sweet Chilli Relish

  • 1 tbs soy sauce

  • 1 tbs water

 

Method:

  1. For the meatballs, combine all ingredients (except oil) in a bowl. Mix well with hands and form into small balls.

  2. Heat oil and cook meatballs 3-4 minutes or until cooked through and brown. Serve as an appetiser with dipping sauce.

  3. For the dipping sauce, combine all ingredients and microwave for 30-60 seconds, stir well.
