Strawberry recipes tips

Choosing strawberries:

• When choosing strawberries look for firm, bright, plump fruit which are shiny and smooth; avoid those with a seedy appearance. 

• Make sure the Calyx (stem and leaf)) is green and fresh.

Storing strawberries:

• To store strawberries correctly, remove them from their punnets and place in a large container in the fridge, lined with absorbent paper.  

• Prior to serving, give them a light spray with cool water.
