Takatala Casserole
Ingredients:
500g pork, beef or chicken
25g plain flour
1 onion
2 cloves of diced garlic
1 beef stock dissolved in 125ml of water
1 teaspoon basil or mixed herbs
2 potatoes sliced
1 can (415g) of tomatoes
100ml Beerenberg Takatala Marinade
Salt to taste
cornflour to thicken
Method:
Roll meat in plain flour. Brown meat in heated oil.
Add onion and garlic.
Fry gently until golden brown.
Add stock and herbs.
Cover and simmer for 1 hour.
Add potatoes, tomatoes and Takatala
Marinade. Simmer until tender.
Thicken with cornflour.
