Whole Pears Roasted in Garlic
Ingredients (Serves 4):
4 Williams pears
4 tsp Beerenberg Crushed Garlic
1 tsp white pepper
1/4 cup Beerenberg Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 cup chicken stock
2 tbs white wine vinegar
1 tbs Beerenberg Red Wine & Garlic Mustard
6 sprigs fresh thyme
2 tbs maple syrup
Method
Preheat oven to 200C.
Peel pears and place in deep baking tray.
In medium bowl combine garlic, white pepper, olive oil and white wine vinegar. Stir through seeded mustard and thyme sprigs.
Pour marinade over the pears and roast in a preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes. Baste occasionally. In the last 10 minutes of cooking drizzle with maple syrup.
Serve with beef sausages, and garnish with thyme sprigs.
